Safety Net Ranked Among Top 501 Managed Service Providers by MSPmentor

2016 MSPmentor 501Safety Net has ranked again among the world’s most progressive managed service providers (MSPs), according to Penton Technology’s MSPmentor 9th annual MSP 501 list and study. Safety Net improved its ranking by over 100 spots this year.

The companies ranked this year are from around the word with diverse technology and business backgrounds. Collectively, these MSPs amassed $9.82 billion in sales in 2015 and increased their oversight of technology devices to more than 5.6 million. The complete 2016 MSPmentor 501 list is available here.

The list is based on data collected by MSPmentor and its partner Clarity Channel Advisors between February and April of 2016. Prior lists were developed using a range of metrics including revenues, growth, product and service mix, vertical markets, and other factors. This year, working with Clarity, MSPmentor improved upon their methodology by assessing company strength based on revenue contributions from key go-to-market activities. Revenues from activities that produced a higher rate of return, such as managed and cloud services, were given more weight.

The study also assigned MSPs a Total Service Provider (TSP) score which evaluates an organization’s mix of revenue from various activities, including consulting, cloud, reselling and managed services. It also assessed an MSP’s revenues-per-employee to determine their overall productivity and capacity.

“On behalf of Penton and MSPmentor, I would like to congratulate Safety Net (Traverse City and Farmington Hills, Michigan) for its recognition as an MSP 501 honoree,” said Aldrin Brown, Editor in Chief, MSPmentor. “The managed service provider market is evolving at a rapid pace and the companies showcased on the 2016 MSP 501 list represent the most agile, flexible and innovative organizations in the industry.”
