Honorably retired Air Force veteran, Corey Hughes, joined Safety Net as a Deployment Technician after a 20-year career in high-level, global IT operations. Thanks to his years of military service, Corey is an exceptional team player and leader. He considers himself a life-long learner, and he's always willing to do what it takes to help his teammate, even if it's a simple password change!
A graduate of Air University - Community College of the Air Force, Corey has a vast knowledge of IT including operating systems, networking, and the implementation and management of servers. He's also taken courses toward becoming a Certified Ethical Hacker. Corey is responsible for deploying network equipment and on-boarding new Your Net managed service clients.
Corey finds the time to exercise every day, whether he's running, hiking or lifting weights. One might think it's because he wants to stay in shape, but really, it's to offset the massive amounts of food the guy can eat! We've never seen anything like it. Corey definitely gets his money's worth at the all-you-can-eat buffets we sometimes visit for Friday group lunches. He entertains the group with his stories, often about the shenanigans he finds himself in with four teenage sons.
After travelling the world with the Air Force, Corey was excited to settle back in to Northern Michigan with his family. Landing at Safety Net for the next step in his career was a bonus for all involved!
