Matt Kuhn’s journey to Safety Net was a long one! Matt and his family lived in Texas after his military service. They wanted to make the move to Michigan to be closer to extended family. Due to distance and a pandemic, Matt’s application and interview process was entirely remote. After several Microsoft Teams meetings, we knew Matt was the guy for Safety Net and he agreed the fit would be a great one! The Kuhns loaded up the moving trucks and headed north, then had to quarantine for two weeks before his first day in the office. For the quality of service he provides our clients, the knowledge he brings to the team, and his uncanny politeness – Matt was worth the wait!
After several years in the Navy, Matt earned a degree in Business Administration from Angelo State University in Texas. That education combined with his IT experience before and after college help him understand the unique challenges facing small and mid-sized businesses. He loves helping others – if you’ve had the pleasure of working with him on a support request – we’re confident you’d agree.
For a guy who can’t get enough of the outdoors – camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, and more – northern Michigan makes complete sense. When he’s not outside with the family, Matt can be found wood or metal working, or tinkering with his cars. The attention to detail and patience needed for his hobbies carries over to his work. Matt is calm under pressure and he is the epitome of a team player. This funny, friendly Southern gentleman is a great addition to Team Safety Net!
